On Wednesday, May 18th, Rylee was baptized by her bible teacher Mr. Mac. It was a beautiful baptism and I think Mr. Mac said 23 kids were baptized.
After each child was baptized, they waited for the rest to be baptized.
Some dad's baptized their children and Hannah wanted her dad to baptize her, but he was in the states last Wednesday, so Hannah is going to be baptized tomorrow, May 25th.
Chelsea was there too!
Rylee and Mr. Mac! The Lord used Mr. Mac and his daughter Chelsea in a tremendous way in Rylee's life. We are so grateful for their families friendship and the love the Lord has given them for Rylee!Rylee and Mrs. Mac!
Kyra, in the green, was also baptized. The other girls came to watch.
Rylee's guitar teacher, Mr. Cheock, was there as well. Mrs. Cheock, in the picture below is Rylee's art teacher. The Cheocks are a beautiful family!!

Fighting a Fire
Chris just got home from helping Pastor Better at the Arthur Center put out a fire. Philippine firefighters arrived on the scene a few minutes before Chris to help as well, but ran out of water. So Chris and Pastor carried buckets of water from the Arthur Center to the fire to put it out. Chris thinks they got it contained. Pastor thinks the fire was started from someone throwing their cigarette butt into dry weeds behind the Arthur Center's building. And because of this being hot season right night, everything is very dry! Thankfully, nothing serious was burned or ruined. Chris said it sparked his desire to be a firefighter even more!
Annie
Faith Academy put on the production of Annie this April. It was wonderful! Rylee went all 3 nights to the play. She had a few friends in the play, Hannah, Kameron, and Alex and more.
One of the nights, the girls got dressed up to go to the play.
Hannah was the orphan Pepper and Alex, in the red, was also an orphan.
Chelsea, the senior in between Rylee and Hannah, was Annie. Chelsea has been discipling Rylee the last couple of months. They meet once a week after school. We have been blessed to have Chelsea in Rylee's life!

Paid in Full!
The Lord has blessed us with an anonymous donor for Rylee's braces. A couple of weeks ago at Rylee's ortho appointment, I was informed by Dentist Diane that someone has paid for the rest of Rylee's braces in full!! And that she wasn't allowed to tell me who it was and to please not ask and make her tell me because she can't say! (She's so cute :) )
So, as you can imagine, we were in awe of the Lord!
Because of this blessing, the Lord opened the door for us to use the rest of the money we had saved and put aside for Rylee's braces for something else. It turns out that the amount we had left to pay on the braces was the exact amount we were going to sell Chris' motorbike for. So, instead of selling the motorbike, we donated it to First Love, and Eddie, Chris' ministry partner, will use the bike.
We are so excited for Eddie to have the bike. We believe this will be a huge asset for him!

Braces
As you have probably already seen from previous pictures, Rylee has braces! Dentist Diane is giving us a discount for the braces that we couldn't pass up! Not only is dental care much cheaper here in the PI, with Dentist Dianes discount we are paying a fourth of what braces cost in the states. And since Rylee's teeth aren't pretty straight, Dentist Diane thinks she will probably only need to wear them for about 6 months.Rylee's top teeth are already completely straight!

Zooxanthellae
Rylee's science teacher taught her and her class many things about the ocean before they went to Out Door Ed. To help the kids remember information they learned, Mr. Bugbee, Rylee's science teacher, and one of the seniors who went on Out Door Ed taught the kids a song. Someone outside of Faith Academy wrote the song, but Mr. Bugbee added the last lyric to the song, which Rylee thought was pretty cool. Rylee is in this video more, so I hope you enjoy!

Scubas and Chicken...
Rylee didn't take any pictures at Out Door Ed of two very important events that happened.
1. Killing a chicken
2. Scuba diving
1. To kill the chicken, someone had to swing it around multiple times to make it dizzy, stick it's head under a pole, pull up ripping it's head off and then sticking the body in a bucket to drain it's blood out. Rylee didn't do any of that, but her job was to take the guts out of the dead chicken and pluck the feathers. She said it was pretty gross, but after grilling the meat, she said it was pretty good.
2. Rylee got to take a scuba diving class and go under water about 6 feet deep. We are in the process of trying to get her scuba certified before we come home. Faith Academy certifies students and parents for very cheep.
If you have a chance to watch the video in the previous blog post, you will get to see students killing the chickens and scuba diving...Enjoy :)

Out Door Education
Rylee's squad
On the bus...
In the town of Taal, the kids did a scavenger hunt. They used their cameras to show what they found in the hunt.
Taking a pic with a policeman...
One of them had to touch raw meat...yuck
I think Rylee took this picture because she is trying to get ideas for her banquet dress...
Rylee and Mary Kate
Going to the reef
Rylee and Hannah
Some sea creature Rylee's science teacher and another teacher found on the reef.
This is the spot where Rylee's squad slept on the reef. Originally they were suppose to sleep on coral, but the boys slept on the coral instead and the girls slept on the cement. Rylee said it was pretty comfortable...I'm guessing the view is what made it so comfortable :)
Part of Rylee's squad with Chelsea, senior in black.
On a Jeepnee...
The tent Rylee and her squad slept in by the volcano...they slept on ashes...Rylee said it was very comfy
The gray tent in the middle was the changing room...since there are no doors on their tents...at least not on Rylee's tent
The kitchen at Taal...slash nurses station...
Rylee and Hannah are pretty much inseparable...and I couldn't think of anyone else I would rather have her be inseparable with though...Thanks for being such a great, godly friend and influence Hannah!
The kids got to watch the sunrise on the boat ride back to base camp from Taal.
The girls thought it was so cool to be able to dangle their feet above and in the water on their boat ride back from Taal. Rylee said the quote of the week was, "Only in the PI could we do this!"
The kids spent a day worshipping and ministering to a school in Taal.
Whitney, the senior in the middle was such a blessing to the girls on Rylee's squad.
Mrs. O'Day is Rylee's English teacher was also her sqaud leader. The 6th, 7th, and 8th graders bus is behind them.
The seniors bus...no aircon...
I think the seniors were glad to be back :)
Chelsea is a senior in the middle. She loves the Lord and has had a great impact on all these girls lives! Chelsea and Whitney, the senior in the above picture are planning to take Rylee and her 3 friends in the picture out this Friday to hang out and spend the night. We praise the Lord for giving Rylee and her friends such wonderful, fun mentors!
